By accessing or using English Listening Trainer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

English Listening Trainer is a web-based application that provides English listening comprehension exercises through cloze-based practice. The Service includes both free and premium subscription tiers.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Free and Premium Tiers

Free Tier: Users may access up to 5 exercises per day at no cost.

Premium Tier: Subscribers pay $1.99 USD per month for unlimited access to all exercises. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings.

5. Payment and Refunds

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• We do not store your full credit card information
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law
• Price changes will be notified 30 days in advance

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Share premium account credentials with others
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content
• Use automated scripts to access the Service

7. Intellectual Property

All content, including exercises, audio, text, graphics, and software, is owned by English Listening Trainer or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission. Sample sentences are sourced from Tatoeba under CC-BY licenses.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, English Listening Trainer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
